The XSE adds piano black exterior treatments, a rear spoiler, 19-inch wheels, paddle shifters, a sunroof, a rear spoiler, and more. The Impressive History of the Toyota Avalon

The Toyota Avalon has a nice history that includes many redesigns and upgrades. The car was introduced in 1994 and had front bench seating, allowing for six passengers. By 1997, airbags came standard. In 1998, the car received a mid-cycle refresh. From the very beginning, it had a lot of horsepower under the hood at 200 horses.

During the second generation from 1999 to 2004, the car saw a facelift with two trims available. The trims were the XL and the more upscale XLS. The car still allowed for six passengers but introduced larger wheels, dual climate control, and power driver and passenger seats, and it was the first car with an 115V AC power inverter. This feature was dropped with the third generation despite some Toyota models still having an inverter.

The third generation began in 2004 for the 2005 model year. It had a complete redesign that featured a more sophisticated and sleek exterior. The car increased in size and had four trims available. This was the generation when LED turn signals, a 12-speaker sound system, reclining rear seats, and a host of options were introduced. The options include remote engine start, stability control, HD lighting, and Dynamic Laser Cruise Control.

The fourth generation began in 2012, and the redesign was very impressive. In 2013, the hybrid model was introduced, giving buyers a more fuel-efficient choice.
