The 2019 Toyota Tacoma is offered in six separate trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, and TRD Pro.

The base SR trim level gets you a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a privacy glass, a backup camera, automatic high beams, Siri Eyes Free voice control, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, 16-inch wheels, lane departure alert, and more. While the SR5 adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an enhanced Entune audio system, 16-inch alloy wheels, and keyless entry.

The TRD Sport comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, a hood scoop, turn signals in the mirror housings, 120-volt power outlet in the bed, and a wireless smartphone charging pad; as the TRD Off-Road offers multiple terrain settings, Bilstein monotube shocks, a lockable rear differential, extra skid plates, and crawl control. With the Limited trim, 18-inch wheels and a body-colored rear bumper are provided.

The top trim, the TRD Pro, gains all-terrain tires, a black grille, and Fox internal bypass shocks.

When it comes to engine options, the base SR Tacoma receives a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 159 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The TRD Sport gets you a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque.

The 2019 RAM 1500

The 2019 RAM 1500 comes in seven unique trims: Tradesman, HFE, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited.

The Tradesman offers heated side mirrors, a Uconnect infotainment system, push-button ignition, an auxiliary audio jack, a rearview camera, 18-inch steel wheels, a 5-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, and more. The HFE is similarly equipped, but adds a different engine.

The Big Horn provides tinted windows, floor carpet, a 60/40-split folding rear bench seat, fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and more. While the Rebel comes with off-road tires, fortified shocks and suspension, an electronic-locking rear axle, hill descent control, skid plates, and front tow hooks.

The Laramie gets you front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, keyless entry, a heated steering wheel, driver-seat memory, and more; and the Longhorn adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a navigation system, a CD player, and heated and ventilated rear seats.

The top trim, the Limited, adds an adjustable air suspension, premium-leather bucket seats, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and chrome exterior trim.

As far as engine options go, the standard is a 3.6-liter V6 that delivers 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. There’s also an optional 5.7-liter V8 that puts out 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. This engine is offered with the HFE. Both engines come paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Both the 2019 Tacoma and the 2019 RAM 1500 come with numerous trim levels, features, and more. While the RAM 1500 offers an extra trim level, this doesn’t necessarily mean it wins over the Tacoma.
